Board Excellence Training: 4-Day Series

Strengthen your board and elevate your organization.

Board members and executive directors, we’ve designed an essential series for you to strengthen your board. Learn to pave the way for board members to fulfill their responsibility and meet your organizational goals. This training includes a free online assessment survey to help identify your board and organization’s effectiveness and opportunities for improvement.

Bring a team! Each day is designed for your executive and board team to work together, in real-time. We’ll equip you with hands-on learning materials, including a course workbook complete with visual models and worksheets to fully engage your team to learn together.

We’ll cover:

Board Leadership and Sector Overview
We’ll start with an overview of the nonprofit sector, then dive into effective board membership, including organizational oversight, growth, and sustainability.

Board Governance and Performance
Discover strategies for evolving and improving your board, informed by the results of your board and organization assessments. Clarify areas of strength and areas for improvement.

Financial Sustainability and Implementation Priorities
Increase your board’s role in fund development and equip them to share your organization’s story of impact. Walk away with priorities identified and a roadmap for moving forward.

CEO/ED and Board Partnership
Gain clarity and consistency for the board and executive team to better understand who’s doing what. Learn to leverage your team’s expertise, interests, and strengths while keeping an eye on evaluating performance, and opportunities for strategic growth.

Implement the learning! As you walk-away ready to implement change, you may find you need support along the way. We’re here to help! Following the trainings, your organization will have the opportunity to access up to three one-on-one coaching/consulting sessions to help your team bring the learning back to your organization.

The next series starts in February 2016.
