Description
Nonprofit organizations are navigating increasing complexity across the communities they serve. CNM’s State of the Sector Series brings together research and real-world context to help nonprofit professionals better understand the broader conditions shaping their work.
This virtual event will feature researchers from Measure of America presenting findings from A Portrait of Los Angeles County 2026, examining how people across the county are faring in health, education, and economic opportunity. Grounded in engagement with community members across the county, the report goes beyond statistics to reflect the lived conditions shaping our communities.
Findings from the report will be highlighted, along with trends shaping well-being across Los Angeles County.
Across Los Angeles County, outcomes vary significantly by geography, race, and income. For example, a baby born in Westwood can expect to live 16 more years than one born in Sun Village, and over 133,000 young people are neither in school nor working. These disparities provide important context for nonprofit organizations working across the region.
This event is offered at no cost and is open to the nonprofit community.
Who Should Attend
This event is ideal for nonprofit professionals who want to better understand the conditions shaping the communities they serve, including executive directors, program staff, development professionals, and board members across the Greater Los Angeles area.
