Carolyn is a Certified Professional Executive Coach, Mediator, and Principal at Southern California Consulting Associates. She works with nonprofit leaders to enhance their executive and leadership capabilities. She serves as a volunteer mediator with youth and their families to address and resolve critical issues. She also supports Southern California nonprofits through her work with Executive Service Corps as a nonprofit consultant and leadership coach. Her background includes more than 30 years of experience in corporate philanthropy, management development, and training.
Active in the community, Carolyn is currently Co-Chair of the L.A. County Citizens Redistricting Commission. She serves on the advisory boards of the Dymally African American Political and Economic Institute at CSU Dominguez Hills and the Women’s Leadership Program at CSU Chico. Other board service includes Executive Support Network, Women in Leadership Vital Voices, and Towne Street Theatre. She is a former board chair for the Downtown Women’s Center and a founding member/emeritus of the USC Price School of Policy Alumni Association. Carolyn earned a B.A. in psychology from Louisiana Tech University, an MPA from USC, and completed all coursework for USC’s Ph.D. in Applied Behavioral Sciences. She holds professional certificates from Boston College, USC, BoardSource, the Center for Creative Leadership, and the Association for Talent Development. Carolyn’s interests include travel, writing, genealogy, and music.
