Grant Writing & Giving Fundamentals Certificate

Learn best practices in institutional giving in a collaborative environment.

About this event

A good grantwriter is made, not born. Anyone can write a polished, competitive proposal – and enjoy it!

Through instructor-led topic orientations, small-group discussions/activities, and independent readings and reflection, participants will gain tools for success at each stage of the grant lifecycle, from prospecting and planning to writing and award stewardship. Together, we will consider nonprofit and giving trends, learn to interpret application questions and respond strategically, and gain practice in writing proposal sections.

Understanding of:

  • Funder expectations
