About this Event
A good grant writer is made, not born. Anyone can write a polished, competitive proposal – and enjoy it!
Through instructor-led topic orientations, small-group discussions/activities, and independent readings and reflection, participants will gain tools for success at each stage of the grant lifecycle, from prospecting and planning to write and award stewardship. Together, we will consider nonprofit and giving trends, learn to interpret application questions and respond strategically, and gain practice in writing proposal sections.
Topics include:
- Funder expectations
- Authentic storytelling and communication
- Foundation vs. government grantsmanship
- Basic budgeting principles
- Variety of documents that grant writers produce
