About this Event
Tomorrow’s Nonprofit leaders will need to equip themselves to meet new challenges. This 8-session Nonprofit Management Certificate Program is designed to give mid-level nonprofit professionals the skills to address the challenges of a changing world. Each interactive session will foster a collaborative learning environment that encourages you to build a network of colleagues and practice new skills with your peers throughout the course. During this dynamic program, you will engage in peer learning, one-on-one coaching, and mentoring and work on a Strategic Improvement Project to begin implementing your learning.
The program will be informative, hands-on, draw on real-life examples from participants, and incorporate group and peer learning activities. Past participants have gone on to be senior leaders, executives, and board members.
Topics include:
- Strategic planning and creating sustainable organizations
- Facilitating strong and engaged boards and volunteer leadership
- Creating a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion with cultural sensitivity
- Financial Management and Develop Financial Resources to meet the unique needs of the organization
- Tools manage successful teams and engage staff
- Legal issues impacting nonprofit HR
- Marketing and branding for impact
Who Should Attend: Nonprofit professionals with more than three years of experience who want to understand all that is involved in running a nonprofit organization and increase partnerships in the community. (Must currently be working for a nonprofit organization)

Virtual Certificate
Optimized for the virtual environment, this 8-session (½ days) certificate program will consist of presentations, group discussions, breakout group sessions, polls, and short breaks. This is an opportunity to do a deep dive on a new topic and leave with tools that you can put into practice immediately.
Instructor
Leslie Robin – Senior Strategist, Center for Nonprofit Management
Leslie has over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit philanthropic field at the local and national levels, fostering change and meeting social and community needs through strategic planning, leadership training, and organizational development. At CNM Leslie provides leadership training, facilitation, and consulting to a wide range of nonprofit organizations. She served as Organizational Development and Management Adjunct Faculty at Hebrew Union College, Los Angeles, and the School of Jewish Nonprofit Management. Leslie also has ten years of experience as an Urban Planner. She has a Masters degree in Urban Planning from the School of Public Administration at New York University and a Bachelor degree from the School of Business Administration at the University of California at Berkeley.
