Membership FAQ’s

Organizations and individuals should take a good look at the benefits of membership and a good look at our calendar. If there are a lot of classes you and other staff, volunteers, and board members would like to take and resources you’d like to take advantage of, then membership might be right for you. We want membership to be a benefit to you. We have created a variety of options, as we know that organizations in the sector have a wide variance in staff and budget, but you’ll have to do the math on your end and decide if membership is right for you. If you still aren’t sure, feel free to contact Rachel at rfox@cnmsocal.org for further discussion.
Memberships are for one year, starting on the day of purchase.
Individual members receive benefits only for themselves. Silver, Gold, and Platinum member benefits go to all staff, board, and volunteers.
No. Anyone can take classes at CNM (including people who work for for-profits or people who have no job at all). Membership simply opens up discounts and other perks for people and organizations that are interested in using CNM’s services often.
Foundation Directory Online is a database owned by the Foundation Center in New York. This database is extremely useful in helping you to figure out what foundation and corporations fund the kind of work you do. This database will not help you research individuals. Membership access to this database is available at CNM only. To secure an appointment to use it, please contact Rachel at rfox@cnmsocal.org.
Yes!
