Over the last few months, CNM has worked closely with the LA County Office of Immigrant Affairs (OIA) to provide grants to immigrant-serving nonprofits throughout LA County with funding made possible through the American Rescue Act (ARP).
Organizations selected for the grant are using the funds to invest in the systems, staff, and resources to build their organizations, recover from the pandemic, and ultimately better serve immigrant communities in Los Angeles. Over two years, grantees will receive $150,000 and capacity strengthening and technical assistance seminars and coaching sessions customized based on comprehensive organizational assessments.
Through these grants and learning opportunities, we hope to support these exceptional nonprofits to achieve a greater impact in our community through investment in their organizations.
The first cohort of 10 grantees represent communities from all over Los Angeles County and will use the funding for temporary staffing, strategic planning, raising funds, volunteer management, data collection, communications, and many more meaningful projects.
As more funds become available, OIA and CNM plan to provide similar grants and programming to additional cohorts of organizations supporting immigrant communities in Los Angeles County.
