Caryn Ryan – Founder & Managing Member, Missionwell

Before founding Missionwell, which advises nonprofits and religious organizations, Caryn was CFO of World Vision International, the programming arm of the $2.5B World Vision global relief and development organization and operated in about 80 countries around the world. Caryn was responsible for their microfinance operations, global financial operations, governance, and compliance and started an emerging shared service for accounting/reporting and established a world-class global Treasury center. Caryn holds an MBA from Northwestern University and serves on the board of Union Rescue Mission, where she has typically chaired the Audit & Finance Committee and the Executive Compensation Committee. She is a director of an area credit union and chairs its Business Development and Risk Management Committees while assisting with strategy and governance best practices.
