About This Event
Learn what tools community leaders need to become effective advocates for their organizations and the people they serve. Participants will hear how Los Angeles city government is structured and about the roles that elected and appointed officials play in developing and implementing policy and budgets. We’ll hear from Holly Wolcott, Los Angeles City Clerk and Raquel Beltran, General Manager of the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment as we build ongoing collaboration between the City of LA and its nonprofit sector. This seminar is geared towards organizations looking to influence City policy and funding priorities in furtherance of their mission and goals. CNM will share a readiness tool to ensure CBOs are prepared to work with government contracts.
