Leadership Culver City

About this event

Leadership Culver City is a nine-month program in community leadership for individuals who live or work in Culver City and are interested in increasing their knowledge about and engagement with community assets and issues. Through a series of monthly activities/exercises, participants will expand their knowledge of Culver City: its governance, its businesses, its services, and its people.

This program is a joint project of the City of Culver City, West Los Angeles College, Culver City Chamber of Commerce, the Exchange Club of Culver City, and the Center for Nonprofit Management.

  • Tentatively scheduled topics of discussion will include: Mobility & Transportation, Housing & Community Development, Business & Economic Development, Education & Workforce Development, Non-Profit Organizations & Social Services, City Government & Public Agencies, and Arts & The Creative Economy, Environment & Sustainability.

  • Participants will work in teams on a group project of their choosing and will present a statement of personal commitment to civic engagement at graduation.
