Leadership Culver City is a nine-month program in community leadership for individuals who live or work in Culver City and are interested in increasing their knowledge about and engagement with community assets and issues. Through a series of monthly activities/exercises, participants will expand their knowledge of Culver City: its governance, its businesses, its services, and its people.
This program is a joint project of the City of Culver City, West Los Angeles College, Culver City Chamber of Commerce, the Exchange Club of Culver City, and the Center for Nonprofit Management.
Throughout this program, participants will address the question: How do we sustain and enhance a livable Culver City for the next century?
- Tentatively scheduled topics of discussion will include: Mobility & Transportation, Housing & Community Development, Business & Economic Development, Education & Workforce Development, Non-Profit Organizations & Social Services, City Government & Public Agencies, and Arts & The Creative Economy, Environment & Sustainability.
- Participants will have the opportunity to engage in conversations with community and business leaders, advocates, and change agents at each monthly session.
- Participants will work in teams on a group project of their choosing and will present a statement of personal commitment to civic engagement at graduation.
Who Should Attend: Interested individuals must be at least 18 years of age, live or work in Culver City, and have a genuine interest in the challenges and opportunities that face the community. Applications ae accepted through Eventbrite and will be reviewed by the Leadership Culver City Working Group.
This program meets on the 3rd Friday of every month for 10 months:
- Sessions run from 8:00am until 3:00pm and include a continental breakfast and lunch.

Tuition: The total cost of the program is $900, which includes all learning materials, meals, and graduation reception. CNM will notify you about accepted methods of payment.
