CNM drives change through our work with nonprofit organizations and the foundations, public agencies, and companies that support them.
In record numbers during 2021 - through outreach, our Helpline, one-on-one, and in groups - CNM advised nonprofit leaders on equitable practices, virtual service delivery, rapid response funding opportunities, scenario planning, and more as nonprofits navigated historic challenges across the region.
Continuing to direct our sector's LA County Economic Resiliency Working Group in 2021, CNM led members representing nonprofit and philanthropic groups to work with LA County leaders to address outdated, inefficient contracting policies, and practices.
Responding to changing conditions in 2021, CNM led seminars, workshops, and certificate programs, including the transformative leadership development program for emerging BIPOC managers working currently in South LA and the Antelope Valley.
In 2021, CNM researchers and strategists led large, collaborative initiatives across Southern California, linking information gathered from community residents and combining capacity-building with a facilitated process focused on systems change.
Surveying clients and tracking changing organizational needs in real time, in 2021 CNM produced local snapshots that reflected how the pandemic and economic downturn impacted funding, workload, staffing and hybrid service delivery.
CNM's inspiring 501(c)onference 2021 brought together diverse peers and missions to explore ways forward including building organizational wellness, impact and sustainability, and putting inclusive practices into meaningful action.
Planning and executing a comprehensive strategic plan incorporating more than 60 in-depth stakeholder interviews and the input of McKinsey & Company volunteers
The result? “Imagine LA’s most comprehensive and forward-looking Strategic Plan to date.”
